By 2026, SK-Pharmacia will purchase more than 2,000 types of medicines and medical devices.

To provide the population with free medicines and medical devices under the State Funded Free Medical Care and Mandatory Health Insurance (MSHI) by 2026, the total requirement is over 567 billion tenge. In other words, SK-Pharmacia will purchase over 2,000 types of medicines and medical devices, a 7.2% increase over the 2025 target, according to Nurlybek Asylbekov, Chairman of the Board of SK-Pharmacia.

During the 2026 procurement campaign, more than 400 medications will be purchased directly from domestic and foreign manufacturers, without the involvement of intermediaries. This represents a 2.7-fold increase over last year's figures.

"Procurement will also be carried out through international organizations—UNDP, UNICEF, and Stop TB. This has also seen growth: the number of items has increased by 87% (from 23 to 43). This mechanism will allow for significant savings due to more favorable prices. The savings will be used for additional drug purchases, ensuring expanded patient coverage.

"The delivery of purchased medicines and medical devices to the Unified Distributor's warehouses is planned for December of this year, and their delivery to medical organizations will begin in January 2026," said Nurlybek Asylbekov.

As a reminder, SK-Pharmacia purchases and supplies medications exclusively under the State Funded Free Medical Care and Mandatory Health Insurance (MSHI) based on requests from medical organizations. These organizations maintain patient records and specify their needs in their requests—including the names, quantities, dosages, dosage forms, and delivery schedules.
