The Ministry of Health will regulate the sale of medicines and medical devices.

The Ministry of Health has prepared amendments to the Rules for the wholesale and retail sale of medicines and medical devices.

The amendments are aimed at updating the regulatory framework in line with the current Tax Code and do not provide for new restrictions or additional requirements for pharmacies, businesses, or the public.

Specifically, the amendments are technical and clarifying in nature. The main goal is to align references to legislative provisions with the current version of the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and clarify the title of the regulatory legal act.

The Ministry of Health notes that the changes will not affect the procedure for selling medicines and medical devices, nor do they impose new obligations on pharmacies, suppliers, or other participants in the pharmaceutical market.

Furthermore, the amendments will not create additional regulatory or financial burdens for businesses and the public.

The Ministry noted that work to update regulatory documents is ongoing to ensure regulatory transparency, legal correctness, and uniform application of legislation in the healthcare sector.

The prepared amendments are aimed at maintaining a stable and clear legal environment in the pharmaceutical industry.

The document is posted on the Open Regulatory Legal Acts website for public discussion until June 4 at the link: https://legalacts.egov.kz/npa/view?id=15829812
