Dozens of pharmacies with Galbot G1 robots have opened in China.

Nearly 50 pharmacy warehouses in China are fully automated using Galbot G1 humanoid robots, costing $100,000. These warehouses have opened in 24 cities across the country over the past year and are capable of processing up to 1,000 orders per day, 24 hours a day. The robot operates autonomously: after receiving an order, it navigates to the appropriate shelf, selects the required medication, and places it in a delivery box for the courier.

Zhao Yuli, Director of Strategic Development at Beijing Galbot, explained that such warehouses are built in the basements of residential areas to ensure orders are delivered to customers within 30 minutes. It's difficult for people to work in such conditions 24 hours a day, especially at night, so automation is especially in demand. Yuli emphasized, "Buying medications at night is often an emergency, and only about 10% of pharmacies in China are currently open 24 hours a day. Humanoid robots operating autonomously can effectively meet this need, allowing consumers to quickly obtain the medications they need."

Each warehouse measures 30-50 square meters. It stores 5,000-6,000 items, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, as well as medical devices. Robots sort, pack, inventory, and monitor expiration dates. Pickup accuracy exceeds 95%, and if the robot fails, it will try again up to three times, after which a support worker will arrive to assist.

Yuan Yidan, head of Beijing Galbot's international department, explained that the robot is equipped with two types of manipulators for handling boxes of different shapes and weights. She noted that these robots enable rapid medication delivery to residents in remote areas where 24-hour pharmacies are unavailable. The first pharmacy with the Galbot G1 opened in December 2024 and operates nonstop.
