New maximum prices for medicines for retail and wholesale sales have been approved in Kazakhstan
By order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 11, 2025 No. 105, amendments were made to the order of the Acting Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 27, 2021 No. ҚР ДСМ-94 "On approval of maximum prices of the manufacturer for the trade name of the medicinal product, maximum prices for the trade name of the medicinal product for retail and wholesale sales."
Maximum prices have been set for 5936 medicines. The document was published on February 18 and will be put into effect ten calendar days after the day of its first official publication.
It should be noted that for exceeding the established maximum prices, entrepreneurs are held liable under Article 426 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Administrative Offenses". You can find out the maximum price for the drug you are interested in through the DariKZ application (available in Google Play Market and AppStore). This mobile application also allows you to file a complaint against a pharmacy if the cost of a drug exceeds the maximum permissible price.
Therefore, if you have found this violation on the part of the pharmacy, you can use the DariKZ mobile application and file a complaint there. To do this, you need to find a drug with a maximum price in DariKZ, then click on the complaint button and fill in the required fields and click on the "Send" button. After that, the user will receive a notification that his message has been sent, and the complaint itself will be automatically sent to the territorial department of the Committee for Medical and Pharmaceutical Control for verification.
Let us remind you that a complaint can also be filed with the department of the Committee for Medical and Pharmaceutical Control at the location, or through the portal of the "Electronic Government" by attaching your complaint and a receipt for the purchase of the medicine.
